JUST GREG

Meet Holloway.

Greg Holloway creates granite pet markers, pastel chalk portraits, and paintings. His work reflects a caring individual who understands how much a person, an animal, or a memory can mean.

A Vietnam veteran, he also served Nebraska veterans for five years as a County Veterans Service Officer. He is always willing to listen.

One of his proudest days was being named chairman of the Nebraska Veterans Homes Board in July 2025 at the Western Nebraska Veterans Home in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

For the past year, he has dedicated even more of his precious time to making sure that every veteran receives the benefits to which they are entitled. He remains actively engaged in the VFW and DAV, both locally and statewide.

With a chuckle, Holloway says he plans to be the longest-living Nebraska Vietnam veteran—as long as he keeps living in Nebraska.

At his home, the green light honors military service, and the coffee is always on for a friend in need.

IN THE NEWS

Keeping the stories alive.

Greg and fellow Vietnam veteran Don Dingman visited Lincoln Southeast High School to share their experiences with English 10 students. The Clarion captured the visit in a thoughtful feature.
